What the site is
Indie Game Radar is the companion site of the @IndieGameRadar YouTube channel. The channel covers indie games in video; this site tracks the new releases between videos, so there is one place to see what came out, what is free and what is worth a look.
What is on it
- New on SteamEvery new Steam release tagged Indie, with filters for genre, price, reviews and platform.
- Free gamesGames you can claim and keep for free right now on Epic, Steam and other stores, with the end date.
- Hidden gemsRecent releases with at least 80% positive reviews but fewer than 400 of them, ranked so a handful of perfect reviews does not beat a large, mostly positive count.
- DemosNew free demos of indie games on Steam.
- Release calendarUpcoming indie launches by month. Dates come from the store page and can move.
- Radar picksGames played and chosen by hand, newest first.
- Price dropsTracked games that are cheaper than before. Add games to your wishlist to get an email when they hit your price.
- Community voteA regular poll for the best indie release. One vote per browser.
- TagsBrowse by what a game is like: cozy, co-op, short, roguelike, Steam Deck Verified and more.
Where the data comes from
- Steam: new releases, prices, reviews, demos and release dates, read from the public Steam store. Review scores are Steam user reviews, not ours.
- Epic Games Store: the weekly free games.
- GamerPower: free-game giveaways on other stores.
- YouTube: the channel's own videos, linked to the game each one covers.
Store data is refreshed on a schedule, so a price or date can lag behind a change on the store for a while. Spotted something wrong? Report it.
How games are chosen
Most lists are automatic and follow the rules printed at the top of each page, such as review share and count for Hidden gems. Radar picks, channel videos and posts are chosen by hand. The site is not affiliated with Valve, Epic Games or any developer, and store links are plain links.
For developers
Made an indie game? Send it through the contact form with the store page, a trailer and the release date. Every message is read; coverage on the channel is not promised.
